shoulder warm up sequence

 

A proper Warm up should be an essential part of every workout session. Warming up will do a few things that will prepare you to hard workouts, this would include:

  • It increases blood flow to your joints and muscles which helps increase the fluidity of movement which decreases the likely hood of injury.

  • It raises the body temperature which can guard against muscle pulls.

  • And if you are doing movement specific warm ups it helps the central nervous system be primed for the exercise you are about to attempt. 


Much like we warm up the hips prior to going for a run or performing lower body strength work, the shoulders need a to be warmed up prior to any upper body pressing or pulling work.
